August 26th – September 1st
1. Run & complete Leadville 100 (24 months)
This is the second week of the journey. I researched and chose some guidance for my journey through a few apps. I am currently using “Runna” for my running program to increase speed and consistency as a guide. 6 days after last weeks 8 mile “Long Run” , I am still sore! I have hit cryo and stretching, but I am cognizant I need to give my body rest. The last run this week I am feeling stronger, and a bit better. This week I am finishing up with 23 miles in total, and the runs this week were tough, and I had to walk 6.5 miles into my8.5 mile run. Nonetheless, I am feeling exciting to get over the initial soreness phase, and start to increase my time.
2. Raise 10 million dollars for Flash Funding Mortgage (12 Months)
This week I met with a potential investor –David Calhoun – The Executive Director of the Harry Bass foundation. Great meeting near Dallas. My business partner Perry Thomas facilitated that meeting, and it went great.
We also received a call for us to receive an additional 5MM in funding to continue our short-term business. Although this is not a direct investment, ability to utilize lines of credit I believe is a unique way to “raise” capital.
3. Be at an Advanced Spanish Speaking Level. (18 Months)
Oof. Today is a great reminder to be intentional. Although I did have some new neighbors move in from Chile who only speak Spanish. Had a great conversation in getting to know them and their story! In writing this, I have reached out to schedule some intentional Spanish classes.
1. Complete the Arena Disciplina Life-Mod Challenge(90 days)
Today is day 17, I have so far had 6 treat days. My toughest problem was the “no carbs, sugar or fried food past 5pm. This has caused me to be very intentional with my eating! Feeling better than last week. Days to go – 73. Feeling confident! I recommend you starting if you want to make a drastic change in your health and lifestyle in 90 days. 2. Run 5 Miles Sub 10 min (3 months)
This week I had a few interval training sessions that fluctuated between 10:05 and 10:50 min/mile pace. It was HARD. My current comfortable pace is still around 11:30 min/ mile at the moment.
3. Hire 3 Loan Officers for Flash Funding Mortgage LTL (90 days)
We just revamped our comp plan for loan officers. 130 bps for self gen and 65 bps for company given leads and deals. This was a slow week, but we will make up for it this week. Scheduling a time slot now for recruiting.
4. Close a New Construction deal for Flash Funding Mortgage (90 days)
There is a power in writing out your goals. The day after my pervious journal entry, I received a new construction deal up near Dallas. We are currently working on gathering documents, but God listens and wants to help! Praise the Lord!
